With a high school career based around Maths and English, Ben made the bold career move towards the more interesting creative industry in his final year. This kick-started a passion for design, and led to acceptance at Wanganui School of Design.
Once at design school Ben enjoyed the new direction, eagerly absorbing such technicalities as kerning to paint the bigger creative picture. His academic past helped him in the understanding of interactive design, which remains a favourite to this very day.
Upon leaving studying with a Bachelor of Computer Graphic Design (with distinction) Ben returned to his student job doing Photoshop work for Metra, but was soon taken on as a designer at Chrometoaster. Here he hopes to not only get an income, but also valuable experience. Feeling pretty happy to have a job with so much creative freedom, he is enjoying applying his skills to things people will actually use.
