David is a senior designer with over ten years of experience in offline and online branding, interaction design, advertising, and web design.
His web career began in 1997 as web master and in-house designer for The NZ Computer Society and Internet Society of NZ (now InternetNZ). Since then he has worked in the United States as a graphic designer, and in NZ as an extranet developer, and an advertising art director, before settling into the team at Chrometoaster as a Senior Designer. His familiarity with the whole web development process gives him a well-rounded approach to web design, focussing on user experience as a part of the design solution.
David has worked on many award winning projects including campaigns for Kiwi Bacon, Bond and Bond, Meadow Fresh and most recently the Best Award winning Eyes on Beijing Olympic website for SPARC.
David’s first year at Chrometoaster has seen him working on websites for the Ministry of Education, NZ Trade & Enterprise, Bluebridge, NZ Motor Industry Training Organisation, SPARC, and NZ On Screen.
In his spare time he creates and sells fonts though his small web-based type foundry, sparkytype.com.
