New Zealand On Screen
NZ On Screen
New Zealand On Screen is an interactive exhibition showcasing the best of Kiwi film, TV and music video content. A collaborative project between Chrometoaster, New Zealand on Screen and Storybox, the exhibition is presented in re-configured shipping containers in Auckland and Wellington as well as a caravan converted to a mobile cinema which will tour the South Island.
Created as an "experience" sub-brand of NZ On Screen, the playful brand identity informed every touch point. The exteriors of the containers and caravan are emblazoned with a vibrant pixel-esque visual signature. Suggestive of a "digitial tukutuku" weave, these bold graphic treatments seamlessly integrate custom QR codes into the exteriors. The brand design system is also carried through to the interior graphics, interactive displays and supporting print material.
Chrometoaster also designed and developed an iPad application that runs within the exhibitions. Visitors will be able to put themselves in the picture with the ‘Scene Stealer’ app. The photo-booth app takes your photo and places it within a choice of scenes from some of New Zealand’s favourite screen moments. The scene is then emailed to you and available for viewing online to share with friends.
New Zealand On Screen is featured as part of the REAL New Zealand Festival that is on during the Rugby World Cup 2011.
