In July 2010 we launched the fully rebranded and re-designed www.wellingtonnz.com website for Positively Wellington Tourism. Chrometoaster completed the information architecture, website design and front-end development, partnering with HeadFirst for the Drupal back-end development.

With its intuitive interface, robust structure, functionality, content and development this website is an engaging and overall rewarding user experience. The website has met all the goals of the brief – and exceeded many.

Visitors of many nationalities visit the website as their first (and main) point of reference about Wellington. The website is designed to be world class, accessible, modern, highly usable and intuitive. 

Due to the various ways the website is marketed, for many visitors, the homepage is not their first entry point. With this in mind, it was important that all pages were designed in an engaging way with visible navigation to access the rest of the website, and clear links to related content evident on every page. 

The content is recent, relevant and deep with contextual links that allow you to browse and add to your itinerary, and purchase as you go.

The website is full of visual treats, yet it remains highly accessible. All-in-all, we believe the new website perfectly represents the most progressive city in the country and the coolest little capital in the world.
